DO NOW: What does the word force mean to you?
Class Discussion on Forces. Most students mentioned gravity, pressure, and types of energy. However, I was pleased when the occasional student mentioned Star Wars...one of my all-time favorite movie series. We discussed a bit and tried to fine tune our understanding of how it is difficult to identify forces because they are invisible.
Notes: I gave the students an outline in which they had to fill in pieces of info. This kept the writing to a minimum.
We started our demonstration lab on Forces. Pictures will be posted once all the classes have finished the 10 demo lab.
