Nov 26th.27th

Hey everyone! Hope your Thanksgiving break was relaxing. I drove with my family to Rochester NY to visit my in-laws. We had a great time despite the chilly conditions of Upstate NY.

As for science, today was our last speed lab. We investigated a method to increase the speed of an object. We took two golf balls, one real one fake, and built various ramps to have them roll down. We started with a ramp one block high and did five trials in which we measured time. After the five trials, we added another block to raise the ramp height and increase the slope of the ramp. We continued this pattern until we reached a ramp height of five blocks. The students calculated the speed of the ball for each ramp height, entered their group data into the class spreadsheet, and we attempted to find patterns in the data.

HW: To graph the data from class and answer the 2 conclusion questions.
